Now that the Super Bowl weekend is over, we can get back to enjoying the recent film and series additions to Hulu.
This streamer has an impressive lineup coming throughout the rest of February, but you don’t have to wait to check out some fantastic content.
Watch With Us has put together our weekly roundup of the popular Hulu movies and TV shows to binge-watch this week.
Our current picks include a recently wrapped ABC sitcom, a classic ’90s comedy and something fun for romance lovers who like a little action with their relationships.
‘Shifting Gears’ (2025 – Present)
If you’ve been watching network TV for any length of time, there’s a good chance you’ve seen Tim Allen or Kat Dennings in their previous sitcoms. Their current show, Shifting Gears, brings them together as Matt Parker and his formerly estranged daughter, Riley. Following her divorce, Riley needed someplace to go with her kids, and that brought her back together with her father.
Season 2 of this comedy recently concluded, and it’s brought the dating lives of both Riley and Matt to the forefront. For Riley, she’s torn between her boyfriend, Andy (Jesse Williams), and Gabe (Seann William Scott), a man she’s clearly pined for. Meanwhile, Matt has had an up-and-down relationship with Eve (Jenna Elfman). The end of season 2 leaves things in an interesting place as we await word of a renewal from ABC.

‘Cool Runnings’ (1993)
Cool Runnings is a recent addition to Hulu that seems to have been programmed with the Winter Olympics in mind. This ’90s comedy was inspired by the true story of the Jamaican bobsled team, which was formed by a small group of athletes who wanted their own shot at Olympic glory following their dashed hopes at the summer Olympics.
The late John Candy stars as Irving “Irv” Blitzer, a former bobsled gold medalist who retired from the sport in disgrace. Derice Bannock (Leon), Sanka Coffie (Doug E. Doug), Junior Bevil (Rawle D. Lewis) and Yul Brenner (Malik Yoba) convince Irv to come out of retirement and take a shot at redemption by training them for the games. It’s hard for a team to get ready for bobsledding on an Olympic level when they don’t even have snowy mountains to practice on in their own country. But that’s one of the reasons why this underdog tale still resonates.

‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’ (2010)
For Valentine’s Day, there’s never been a better time to rediscover the video-game flavored action romance of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. This film presents a world where reality seems to warp around Canadian slacker Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) and the girl of his dreams, Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). Scott’s so taken with Ramona that he dumps his current girlfriend, Knives Chau (Ellen Wong), without taking her feelings into consideration.
If that makes Scott a bad guy, then he’s about to have company. Ramona has what she calls “seven evil exes,” and they’re all gunning for Scott for daring to date her. Hollywood star Lucas Lee (Chris Evans) and musician Todd Ingram (Brandon Routh) are among Ramona’s former lovers who challenge Scott to boss battles over her heart. Scott’s a pretty good fighter, but this is an uphill quest from the start.
