Jon Bon Jovi is taking fans on a trip down memory lane after sharing a throwback post that revisits one of the band’s most iconic love songs.
For decades, the 63-year-old has cemented his name in the music industry through the timeless hits and enduring legacy of the legendary rock band Bon Jovi.
Since their debut in the ‘80s, the band has produced notable hits that continue to resonate with fans up to this generation.
With this, the iconic frontman looked back on a power ballad that remains a fan favorite.
In an Instagram post, he shared the handwritten lyrics of the 1994 song “Always.”
Part of their first greatest hits compilation, Cross Road, was written by the rock icon himself and has since become their biggest hit across the United States and the United Kingdom.
32 years later, he reflected on his masterpiece that helped define the band’s career.
“A song is born,” he wrote.
Fans in the comment section expressed how genius Jon Bon Jovi was for creating such an amazing song.
“My favorite!!! Only you, Jon, could write a song like this,” a commenter said.
“A legendary song is born!” a follower noted.
Meanwhile, many fans have declared “Always” one of the “greatest love songs of all time,” praising its heartfelt message of deep, unwavering love that endures even after a relationship has ended.
“One of the greatest love songs of all time,” one wrote.
“Greatest love songs of all time,” an Instagram user said.
“Always is THE best greatest love song,” a fan echoed.
The same goes for another who commented the same, noting “The greatest song ever.”
“One of the best songs ever,” a follower added.
“One of the best songs ever written,” a fan remarked.
In a previous interview with People back in 2024, the frontman mentioned composing the song for the 1993 film Romeo Is Bleeding.
However, after watching a few scenes from the film, he felt it didn’t meet his expectations and decided to shelve the song.
“We demoed it for a movie that I had written it for and thought, ‘Yeah, that’s not very good,’” he recalled, adding, “Put it on the shelf, and an A&R guy, who was a friend of ours, was listening to some of those lost songs. He said, ‘You know, this is a monster hit.’ He was right.”
Lo and behold, it is one of Bon Jovi’s most notable tracks along with “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Bed of Roses” and more.
