Art in the Park will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday July 29 at Rambadt Park, 700 North Park St., Reed City. A limited number of adults will learn the art of basket weaving. Girls will have the opportunity to make a shimmery hair accessory and other weaving projects will be available for all ages.
The Crossroads Picnic Showcase will present free concerts from 7 to 9:15 p.m., Fridays at Rambadt Park, 700 N. Park St., Reed City. The Paul Nelson Band, a two time grammy winning rack and blues band will perform on July 21. Planet D Nonet, will perform pop, jazz, swing and show tunes on July 28. the USAs premier chart topping “lil Big Band”Bring families, pets, coolers, picnics, lawn chairs. Donations accepted. Lakeside Motor Sports Summer Concerts will host Shimmie Pearl from 7 to 9 p.m., July 22 at Reuther Music Pavilion, 10690 Pierce Rd., Canadian Lakes.

The Muskegon River Watershed Assembly is looking for teams to participate in the annual Trash Bash. Sign up is from July 1-31 at mrwa.org/trashbash. Clean up will take place through the month of August.
The Mecosta Osceola Summer Play and Learn program will be held through August 25: Tuesdays, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., at the Big Rapids Public Library, 426 S. Michigan Ave., Big Rapids; Wednesdays, 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Bromley Park, 395 W. Main St., Mecosta, and from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Morley Community Center, 151 7th St., Morley; Thursdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Evart Splash Pad, 317 S. River St., Evart. The Free Methodist Church in Evart will host “Osceola Higher Ground,” a fun, free activity for the entire family, at 5:30 p.m., Thursdays, at 6151 95th Ave., Evart. Spring classes may include, but are not limited to, healthy lifestyles, crafts, family literacy, drug awareness, parenting and finance. Classes are offered for adults and student each week. The Reed City Heritage Museum is open from 1-4 p.m. Friday through Tuesday at 138 W. Slosson Ave., Reed City. Admission is free. Groups are welcome.
The Crossroads Quilt Guild meets at 6:30 p.m., at the Church of the Nazarene, 5300 220th Ave., Reed City, on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Those interested are welcome to attend without being a member. Any level of quilter is encouraged to attend.
The Reed City Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 831 S. Chestnut St., Reed City.
The Reed City Senior Center at 219 E. Todd Ave., hosts the following events weekly: Wednesdays at noon – Fun Bingo; Thursdays at noon- Euchre; Friday – doors open at 10:30 a.m., Early Bird at 11:30 a.m. and Regular Bingo at noon.
