New: Aer Lingus Schedules Airbus A321XLR Flights Between Dublin & Nashville

Aer Lingus has announced that it will begin flights from Dublin International Airport (DUB) to Nashville International Airport (BNA) next year. The airline will use its long-range narrowbody Airbus A321XLR to cross the Atlantic Ocean.

On Friday, Aer Lingus announced that passengers can fly nonstop from DUB to BNA starting April 12th next year. Fares start at $499, which includes taxes, fees, and carrier charges. Tickets are available now.
Ireland’s flag carrier will utilize the brand-new Airbus A321XLR on the route, which is set to arrive in the last quarter of this year. The aircraft will take 8.5 hours to fly the transatlantic route from Dublin to Tennessee. The aircraft has 184 seats, including 16 lie-flat business class seats and 168 economy class seats.
Speaking to Fly Nashville, Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus’ Chief Customer Officer, said in a statement:
“This direct route between Dublin and Nashville is a hugely exciting addition to Aer Lingus’ expanding North American network. This non-stop connection will strengthen the deep cultural, musical and business ties between Ireland and Tennessee. We know our Irish customers will be delighted to experience Music City’s electric atmosphere, while customers departing from Nashville enjoy a warm Irish welcome as they fly with Aer Lingus to Dublin. As well as offering a direct flights from Nashville to idyllic Ireland, Aer Lingus also offers seamless connections to 22 captivating destinations across Europe.”
The airline offers four round trips a week: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. The flight will not only introduce the Irish to the City of Music but also allow Tennessee natives to use Dublin as a hub for connections to major European destinations, including Amsterdam, Berlin, London, Edinburgh, Rome, Paris, and Manchester.
Doug Kreulen, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA), had this to say about the new route:

The route is set to boost tourism for both Nashville and Dublin. Travelers from Dublin will have ample opportunities to connect to the rest of the US from BNA and vice versa.
