WWE has a complex problem on its hands once again with Rock, Rhodes and Reigns likely involved in ‘Mania main events next year.
One rumor, though, hints WWE might take the easy way out.
According to WrestleVotes (h/t Ortman), WWE has the idea of a triple-threat match “on the table” right now.
WWE will obviously spitball plenty of ideas between now and the ‘Mania kickoff show. But the idea of a triple threat just feels like a major sell.
Yes, a triple threat could help along a veteran part-timer like Rock. But next year’s ‘Mania needs more than that. There is plenty of time to long-term book specific main events, such as Reigns and Rock settling their family business once and for all while Rhodes takes on someone like say, Randy Orton?
A triple threat feels like a shaky idea, especially because it would probably ask the shaky alliance between Rhodes and Reigns to keep up for far longer than it should just to reach ‘Mania.
