Boca Recovery Center released data from a new survey and data research that shows that the trend is more popular than ever, with 1 in 4 Americans saying they will be participating this October. Most of those committing or considering going sober for the month are Millennials and Gen Z-ers that say they rarely drink.
One of the data points that they looked at was Google searches per capita for “Sober October” and Minneapolis was ranked as the city with the most searches in America, and St. Paul came in 9th.

As a state, Minnesota ranks 12th among states searching more about Sober October, Wisconsin ranks 20th, and in case you’re curious, the 49th and 50th states that have essentially no interest are Alabama and Mississippi.
More than half of people said they plan to use the sober time to try some extra exercise, connect with family and friends, or take up a new hobby. Might be a good month to take up home brewing? So when October end, you’ll be ready to roll. I kid of course.
