The Cornell-bound senior comfortably won the 200-yard freestyle, earning All-American consideration with a time of 1:50.52. She also triumphed in the 100 butterfly (56.39) and took part in the Revolution’s winning 200 medley relay (1:51.08), which beat its seed time by five seconds.
Teixeira has consistently delivered in her stellar career with the Revolution, and she came through again in Sunday’s MIAA North sectional at MIT’s Zesiger Center, helping A-B (315 points) outpace Winchester (230) and Andover (217) with ease.
Even in a pressure-packed sectional meet, Acton-Boxborough girls’ swimming coach Gretchen Turner said she stayed perfectly calm each time her star senior, Isabela Teixeira, went to the starting block.
“She is the anchor of this team,” Turner said of Teixeira. “She’ll go into any event and do exactly what she needs to get it done. And she loves doing that.”
