Netflix sure is milking Mel & Jack’s upcoming nuptials in its promo campaign for Season 6, set against the backdrop of the couple’s spring wedding season. After the first teaser, which largely recapped the duo’s love story over the first five seasons, ended with a glimpse at the bottom of Mel’s wedding dress, the full trailer released today features footage from the new season but even less of Mel’s gown, with an over-the-shoulder shot as the only peek.
The mystery carries over to the key art, also released today, which provides the best shot so far at the wedding dress, with the long veil, blown by the wind, strategically blocking full view. (See it below)
The trailer does give us a good look at a dapper-looking Jack in a tux — as well as video of Cowboy Jack riding a horse we didn’t know we needed. (Netflix today also released new Season 6 photos that include a horseback-riding Jack. You can see them below.)

“Here it is to second chances, second chapters and most of all — to the lovely couple,” Doc says in a toast during what looks like a rehearsal dinner. Curiously, the person sitting across from him appears to be Mel’s biological father Everett so the two father-figure men in her life seem to have come together for her big day. The rest of the attendees are not surprising, consisting largely of Jack’s family, including Brie + Mike, as well as Preacher & Kaia.
In the trailer, we also get a good look at the setup of the outdoor ceremony with Jack & Mel’s barn in the background and at bridesmaids’ dresses, courtesy of Kaia, seen handing out programs.
Elsewhere in the trailer, Brady vows that “I want to make it a habit of not keeping secrets” to Lark, who, as of the Season 5 finale, was keeping a big one. Brie and Mike look loved-up as they kiss but then she and Brady exchange one of their smoldering glances, hinting at the love triangle rearing its head again. We also see more of Mel’s bachelorette party, Lizzie’s pregnancy as well Mel’s parents’ love story.
“You ready for this?,” Mel (Alex Breckenridge) asks Jack (Martin Henderson) at the start of the trailer. We don’t hear his answer but for Virgin River fans who have been ready since the Season 5 Christmas special a year ago, the 10-episode Season 6 will be released Dec. 19. And as a bonus, the popular romantic drama already has been renewed for a seventh season.
You can watch the new trailer above and the first teaser below. You can also check out below the new photos, one of which reveals that Brady is now officially a firefighter.
