Rumer Willis is keeping fans in the loop about her dad, Bruce Willis.
On Monday, February 3, the 36-year-old Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress appeared on the U.K. talk show Loose Women and gave an update on the Die Hard legend’s condition. “He’s doing great,” she said.

“The thing we’re all kind of the most scared dealing with is just the fires and, you know, wanting to make sure everything’s okay,” she explained, adding that their close bond helps them get through it all. “The way that we rally around each other is so lovely because we really are a unit.”
The Willis family first shared Bruce’s diagnosis in March 2022, announcing he had aphasia, a condition “that affects your ability to speak and understand what others say,” according to Cleveland Clinic. The following year, his wife, British model Emma Heming Willis, confirmed that his condition had progressed to frontotemporal dementia, which impacts the brain’s frontal and temporal lobes.
During her interview, Rumer also reflected on growing up with Bruce, 69, and her mom, Demi Moore, saying she feels “grateful” for the co-parenting example they set. (Bruce and the 62-year-old Charlie’s Angels actress were married from 1987 to 2000.)
“Even when they split up, they created such a beautiful foundation of prioritizing my sisters and I,” she said. “I never felt like I had to choose or that they played against each other. We were a family, and we still are very much a family, no matter what.”
That foundation has influenced the way she’s approaching co-parenting her daughter, Louetta (who was born in April 2023), with her ex-boyfriend, Derek Richard Thomas (whom she dated from 2022 to 2024). “Now, as I’m working through co-parenting as well, I just feel deep gratitude for the example they’ve set,” she shared.
Back in October 2024, the Sorority Row star also praised her parents’ ongoing support for each other. “I think one of the most beautiful things to witness about my parents’ relationship still is just their love and support of each other,” she told People at the time.
In addition to Rumer, Bruce and Moore share daughters Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 31, together, while the Sixth Sense icon also has daughters Mabel Ray, 12, and Evelyn Penn, 10, with Emma, 46, whom he married in March 2009.
