While it is the most popular sporting event in the United States, the Super Bowl can sometimes feel like an afterthought, compared with all the peripheral things happening on Super Bowl Sunday.
In that spirit, ahead of this Sunday’s game in New Orleans between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, here is a guide to the day that has nothing to do with touchdowns. (You can get a football-related preview as well, if you want one.)
What is the best way to watch?
Fox has the broadcast rights to this year’s game and will also stream it through the network’s website and app. But fans looking for an alternative experience can test out the Fox-owned app Tubi. It plans to stream the game free and will be doing a pregame show starring Olivia Culpo, a model, influencer and the wife of the San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey, with a red carpet and a focus on celebrities, fashion and culture.
The red-carpet show will begin at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time, and the game will kick off around 6:30 p.m.
