‘I’m Still Here’
The 2025 Oscar winner for best international feature film, “I’m Still Here,” makes its way to video-on-demand platforms. Also nominated for best picture, the drama is based on the harrowing story of Brazilian activist Eunice Paiva (Fernada Torres), who embarked on a quest for answers over the 1971 disappearance of her husband, politician Rubens Paiva (Selton Mello). ‘Moana 2’
Need something to watch with the kiddos? The animated sequel “Moana 2″ made its Disney+ debut this week. The musical box office blockbuster features Auliʻi Cravalho reprising her role as the voice of Moana, with the film’s titular character teaming up once again with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s demigod Maui for another island adventure. ‘The Parenting’
A mix between a dysfunctional-family comedy and a poltergeist horror movie, “The Parenting” debuted on Max this week. The new flick follows young lovers Rohan (Nik Dodani) and Josh (Brandon Flynn), who book a weekend getaway for their families to meet, only to face off with a 400-year-old angry spirit. Vivian Bang, Brian Cox, Edie Falco, Lisa Kudrow, Dean Norris, and Parker Posey round out this all-star ensemble cast. Available on Max
‘Tom Petty: Heartbreakers Beach Party’
You got lucky, Tom Petty fans, because Oscar-winning director Cameron Crowe’s cult classic “Heartbreakers Beach Party” is now streaming on Paramount+. The film is a remastered version of the documentary that aired just once on MTV all the way back in 1983, featuring Petty and his Heartbreakers band as they worked on and toured in support of their legendary album “Long After Dark.” Available on Paramount+

‘The Wheel of Time’
If you’re looking for something to scratch that fantasy itch now that we’re in between new seasons of “House of the Dragon” and ”The Rings of Power,” check out “The Wheel of Time,” which is back for its third season on Prime Video. Based on the best-selling books by Robert Jordan, this gorgeously-shot epic stars Rosamund Pike as Moiraine, a member of an all-female magical organization, whose mission is to find the person destined to fulfill the world-ending (or world-saving) prophecy of the Dragon Reborn. Binge-worthy weekend TV pick
Kelly Reilly and Kevin Costner in “Yellowstone.” Paramount
‘Yellowstone’
Although it first aired on the Paramount Network, Taylor Sheridan’s fan-favorite western series “Yellowstone” now streams exclusively on Peacock, with the second half of the show’s fifth and final season hitting its library on Sunday. Kevin Costner won a Golden Globe in 2023 for his role as John Dutton, the protective patriarch of his family’s large cattle ranch in Montana, who constantly deals with drama along its borders. Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, and Wes Bentley also star as members of the Dutton family. Available on Peacock

‘Beau Is Afraid’
“Hereditary” and “Midsommar” director-writer Ari Aster delivers another strange and surreal horror tale with “Beau Is Afraid,” which streams on Max beginning Friday. Oscar winner Joaquin Phoenix plays the title character, Beau, a paranoid guy who must face his fears as he tries to make his way back home to his mother. The film also stars Patti LuPone, Nathan Lane, Amy Ryan, and Parker Posey. Available on Max
