George Clooney allegedly screamed and cursed at a “Morning Joe” producer after co-host Mika Brzezinski claimed on-air that the Hollywood star’s scorching editorial about Joe Biden was influenced by former President Barack Obama, according to a new book.
“How the f–k could you let her link me with Barack Obama saying he made me write the op-ed?” Clooney shouted after he called the producer at left-leaning MSNBC, according to Chris Whipple’s new book, “Uncharted: How Trump Beat Biden, Harris, and the Odds in the Wildest Campaign in History.”
The left-wing A-lister became one of the first to call for Biden to bow out of the presidential race with a shocking New York Times editorial published in July 2024, just weeks after the disastrous debate performance against former President Donald Trump.

But when Brzezinski — who co-hosts the morning show with husband Joe Scarborough — insinuated that Obama was actually behind the editorial heard ’round the world, Clooney allegedly lost his cool.
The producer denied involvement in Brzezinski’s comments, but Clooney reportedly screamed back, “You f–ked me! … You’re my friend. You should have stood up for me.”
Whipple wrote that the producer replied: “George, this is not a f–king movie. There’s no script. It’s just not a movie where you go script page to script page.”
“F–k you!” Clooney yelled, according to the book.
The producer and Clooney then lobbed curse words and insults at one another over a series of phone calls that lasted several hours, according to Whipple, a documentary filmmaker and former “60 Minutes” producer.
“This is a morning talk show on a cable channel,” the MSNBC producer reportedly said at one point. “Nobody gives a f–k if we say he should get out or if he should stay in. Nobody f–king cares. It’s skywriting. It’s f–king gone.”

“George, I told you before, we’ll try and take care of it tomorrow morning. I promise you,” the unidentified producer continued.
Clooney apparently replied: “I don’t know whether I trust you.”
“Well, f–k you,” the producer snapped, according to the book. “If you don’t trust me, stop f–king calling me.”
Reporter Tara Palmeri published the book excerpt on her Substack.
Representatives for Clooney and MSNBC did not immediately respond to The Post’s requests for comment.
The alleged spat concerned a “Morning Joe” episode that aired last July, during which the two co-hosts discussed Clooney’s controversial editorial.
“This wasn’t George Clooney,” Brzezinski suddenly said.
Scarborough asked what Brzezinski was talking about, and jokingly listed other famous actors who might have written the op-ed.

“Who do you think it was? Who do you think it was? You can say the name, you won’t melt,” Scarborough continued. “It’s not Voldemort. Are you saying you think Barack Obama put him [Clooney] up to this?”
Brzezinski replied: “I think that Barack Obama has a lot of influence, and I think that there’s a lot there.”
Earlier in the show, Scarborough had suggested that sources from the Biden campaign and Democratic officials “do believe that Barack Obama is quietly working behind the scenes to orchestrate this.”
In his Times editorial, Clooney made an unabashed argument for Biden to step down from the presidential race, arguing that his age was taking a toll on him.
“In the last four years, he’s [Biden] won many of the battles he’s faced. But the one battle he cannot win is the fight against time,” Clooney wrote at the time.
“It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe ‘big f-king deal’ Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate.”
