CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – Deputies have confirmed that one person has died and two others were hurt in a crash Sunday.
Jacob Oliveira, 24, of Hollywood, died from injuries sustained at the crash, Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal says.
The crash happened at approximately 3:14 p.m. in the 4000 block of Davison Road, according to the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.
Initial investigation revealed that a Toyota Tacoma was going south on Davison Road and hit a Ford F-150 from behind, a release from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office says.
The driver of the Tacoma died at the scene. Deputies say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Both occupants of the F-150 were injured.
The crash closed Davison Road in both directions for about three hours, deputies said on X.
The Sheriff’s Office’s Traffic Services Unit is investigating the crash. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call 843-202-1700.
