Star Entertainment Group Ltd. said Chief Executive Officer Steve McCann will leave the company Tuesday after just overBloomberg Terminal a year in the role, as a group led by Bally’s Corp. took control of the struggling Australian casino operator.
Bruce Mathieson Jr. will assume additional duties as executive chair while a search for a permanent CEO is conducted, according to a company statement. McCann will remain available to assist Star through a handover period in relation to government and regulator interaction until July 2026.
