Library nuptials
The North Little Rock Public Library System hosts its second library wedding event, “Your Happily Ever After: A Valentine’s Day Group Wedding,” 10 a.m.-noon Feb. 14 at the William F. Laman Library, 2801 Orange St., North Little Rock.
Couples can say “I do” for the first time or renew their vows in the library’s decorated Studio Rotunda during a special group wedding ceremony in English and Spanish, officiated by ordained ministers.
Register with the library by Feb. 2, via programs.nlrlibrary.org/event/15381832; obtain a valid marriage license from a county clerk’s office prior to the event and return the signed license to the issuing office within 60 days. The library is also welcoming up to five couples to participate in a group vow renewal, for which no license is required.
Each couple may bring up to four guests and their own flowers. The library will provide photographers, live music during the ceremony and a post-ceremony reception and first dance. Couples can bring their own photographer for personal photos.
It’s free, “made possible by generous donations from the community,” according to a news release. For questions about registration or event details, call Lauren Schmidt at (501) 758-1720, email lschmidt@nlrlibrary.org or visit NLRlibrary.org.
