Ella Purnell has several upcoming projects that greatly differ in genre, medium, and role. In May 2024, Purnell was cast in the upcoming horror-comedy movie The Scurry, about which there is little more confirmed information. She will star alongside Rhys Ifans, known for his roles in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, The Amazing Spider-Man, and House of the Dragon. Paapa Essiedu and Antonia Thomas will also star alongside Purnell and Ifans, with the movie directed by Craig Roberts and written by Tim Telling. The Scurry reportedly revolves around an unlikely group of people who must band together to survive an onslaught of murderous squirrels.
