Spooky season has kicked off and is treating entertainment lovers to spine-chilling good releases all month October long. Thanks to platforms such as Hulu, Paramount+, Netflix, Apple TV+, Peacock, Max, Disney+ and Prime Video, the amount of TV shows and movies to watch is practically endless. With so many streaming options available, it can be overwhelming trying to keep track of what to watch every weekend. What to Watch on Hulu This Weekend
Hulu comes with a full library of original shows in addition to cable shows from FX and ABC that premiere the day after airing. If you don’t have a subscription, you can get a 30-day free trial when you sign up. When the free trial ends, you’ll be charged as little as $7.99 a month. For even more content options, you can bundle Hulu with with Disney+ and ESPN+ and Max for as low as $14.99 a month. And for live TV options, you can get Hulu + Live TV for $76.99 a month.
Hold Your Breath (2024)
Release date: Oct. 3
Hulu is kicking off a month full of chills and thrills with the movie Hold Your Breath starring Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story). Taking place in 1930s Oklahoma, a mother becomes convinced that her and her family have more to fear than just horrific dust storms.
What to Watch on Prime Video This Weekend
Prime members have all of the Prime Video library at their fingertips, including Prime originals and exclusive content. If you’re not a member, Amazon is offering a 30-day free trial for new users. You’ll get access to the entire Prime Video library in addition to Prime exclusive perks. Once your free trial is over, you’ll be charged the regular membership fee of $14.99 a month or $139 a year.
The Legend of Vox Machina (Season 3)
Release date: Oct. 3
The much-anticipated premiere of The Legend of Vox Machina kicks off this month with the Season 3 premiere. Sacrifices must be made and relationships will be tested as the group continues its fight to take down the Chroma Conclave.
House of Spoils (2024)
From Blumhouse Television is House of Spoils that’ll have foodies saving their snacks for after the film. It follows an ambitious chef who decides to open a restaurant in a remote estate. In addition to a chaotic kitchen and consistent self-doubt is a sinister presence threatening to bring her down.
What to Watch on Max This Weekend
Max subscribers can look forward to dramatic new releases when logging in. If you don’t have a subscription, you can sign up for as low as $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year for the ad-supported plan or you can go ad-free for $15.99 a month ($149.99 a year).
Prime members can also add Max to their video library for just $9.99 a month through the premium channel options in Prime Video’s storefront.
Salem’s Lot (2024)

Based on the Stephen King book of the same title, Salem’s Lot brings the hair-raising story to life on screen. When author Ben Mears (Lewis Pullman) returns to his childhood home in Maine in search of inspiration, he’s horrified to discover that the townspeople are mysteriously turning into blood-thirsty vampires — and now he must do everything he can to survive.
The Franchise (Season 1)

Give yourself a break from the jump scares with Max’s new comedy series that shines a light on the challenges of making a superhero movie in an unloved franchise.
What to Watch on Peacock This Weekend
Peacock is home to all NBC, Bravo and USA Network originals, but you can also find exclusive Peacock originals such as the third season of Bel-Air. The Mouse Trap (2024)

Mickey Mouse gets a killer makeover in this slasher film that reimagines the character in a horrific light. When amusement park worker Alex Fen (Sophie McIntosh) is working a shift at a family amusement park, her friends make a surprise appearance in celebration of her 21st birthday. What she doesn’t expect is a killer mouse to be on the loose looking for blood.
Reggaeton: The Sound that Conquered the World (2024)

Reggaeton’s global journey gets the spotlight in this documentary that explores its roots in the barrios of Puerto Rico to its fast rise after the release of Daddy Yankee’s Gasolina. Influential artists you can expect to make an appearance include Bad Bunny, Feid, Ivy Queen, J Balvin, Karol G, Shaggy, Rauw Alejandro and more.
Found (Season 2)

Recovery specialist Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton) is back for another season of finding those forgotten in America by media, law enforcement and the public. Her and her team will stop at nothing having had personal experience with mysterious disappearances whether it was them or someone who love.
Saturday Night Live (Season 50)

Saturday Night Live continues it’s milestone season with Nate Bargatze taking host duties with the musical assistance of Coldplay.
