A closing timeframe has been confirmed for Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida. The roller coaster will close permanently in fall 2025.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit Closing
Rumors have been spreading for a while that indicated the imminent closure of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, and recently, Universal filed a permit with the South Florida Water Management District to “remove [sic] existing attraction and replace [sic] with proposed attraction.” The permit indicated the location currently occupied by Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
The coaster, designed by Maurer Söhne, opened at Universal Studios Florida in 2009. It will close permanently in early September 2025.

Details for the “new experience” aren’t available, but sources close to WDWNT indicate that it will be a new multi-launch Intamin roller coaster.
