Conan O’Brien is heading back to television screens next year, but instead of another late-night gig, the Brookline native is set to host the 2025 Oscars.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences revealed Friday morning that O’Brien will host next year’s Academy Awards, which will air live on ABC Sunday, March 2, at 7 p.m. The 2025 Oscars will mark the Emmy winner’s first time hosting the ceremony, taking over for fellow late-night star Jimmy Kimmel, who has hosted the last two years. (Kimmel also hosted the Oscars in 2017 and 2018.)
“America demanded it, and now it’s happening: Taco Bell’s new Cheesy Chalupa Supreme. In other news, I’m hosting the Oscars,” O’Brien said in a press release.
