Popular gaming entertainment venue Dave & Buster’s opened its first Sonoma County location Monday with fanfare and excitement.
Located in Santa Rosa’s downtown mall at 600 Santa Rosa Plaza, doors opened at 11 a.m. to those eager to play its arcade and virtual reality games, toss a little rollerball or try their hand in the human claw machine. Those not interested in gaming opted instead for a bite or drink while watching sports on the big screens.
Several hours before the ribbon was cut, a small number of protesters, members of the carpenter’s union, stood outside the mall protesting what they said was the use of non-union labor on the entertainment complex. Data from 2024–2025 indicates that over 87% of the state’s private construction workforce is non-union, information supported by Associated Builders and Contractors.
Dave & Buster’s is open Mondays and Tuesdays 11 a.m. to midnight, Wednesdays through Fridays 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to midnight.
