Fans praised the couple’s red carpet appearance earlier on Sunday.
After 37 years, one Hollywood power couple is still going strong.
Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon just lit up the red carpet at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, which fans were already anticipating after the award-winning actors teased their getups in a joint Instagram post earlier in the day.
Their reason for attending? Presenting a red-hot category at Hollywood’s most glamorous night.
And before handing out the coveted Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture trophy, the beloved couple did a bit of comedic banter to keep the energy up. After all, Nikki Glaser‘s laid the groundwork with a reliably hilarious opening monologue, returning as Globes host for a second straight year.
During their quick bit before announcing the supporting-actor nominees, Bacon, 67, asks Sedgwick, 60, what she thinks “makes a good male supporting actor.” In pure comedy bliss, The Closer star begins listing off qualities that might seem more fitting for a “male supporting” his wife.
“Listening, being present, sharing your feelings,” she says, before arriving at the ultimate puncher, “…not leaving the toilet seat up…”
They eventually revealed Stellan Skarsgård as the category’s winner for his acclaimed work in Sentimental Value, which is up for multiple awards on Sunday.
Hours earlier, fans flooded the comments section of Sedgwick and Bacon’s Instagram post with support for the couple’s Golden Globes outfits. “Beautiful & classy. Rare thing these days. 👌,” wrote one user, while another person commented, “You TWO ARE THE BEST😍😍😍 What a beautiful and amazing couple you are… A great example of couple goals and love ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
