The Village of Luther will host a Community Awareness Night from 5 to 7 p.m., Sept. 22, at the Luther Lion’s Club Hall, 1003 State St., Luther. Organizations representing area recreational, social and religious activities and functions will be on site to share information abut their organization. The Luther Lion’s Club will sponsor a Kidsight community eye screening for children 6 mos. To teens from 5 to 7 p.m., Sept. 22, at the Lion’s Club Hall during the community awareness night event. Children can receive free eye screenings for myopia, astigmatism, lazy eye and others.
Lake County Sportsman’s Club is hosting a Fall Trap League from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following Sundays, Sept. 24. Cost is $40. You can shoot all six times on one day or spread it out over multiple days. To register call 231-408-2058 or 231-638-0374.
The Lake County Sportsman’s Club will host Ladies Night of Shooting from 6:30 to 8 p.m., the third Thursday of each month through Oct. 19, at 7249 McKinley Rd., Baldwin. Maximum of 8 ladies per class. A safety class at 6:30 p.m. is mandatory before shooting. Cost is $5 per night per person for non-members. Dewings Center in LeRoy will host a Harvest Bluegrass Concert featuring The Digger and Straight Forward Bluegrass Band at 7 p.m., Oct. 14, at 202 S. Albert St., LeRoy. Cost is a donation at the door.
Hollister Senior Center will host a Spaghetti Dinner the 2nd Saturday of the month from 4 to 7 p.m, at 1505 Michigan Ave., Baldwin. Cost is $10 a plate for adults and $5 for kids plate. Dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, garlic toast, your choice of cottage cheese, coleslaw or applesauce, dessert and rinks. To go orders available.
The Luther Lion’s Club will host an all you can eat breakfast the first Sunday of each month from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at 1003 State St., Luther. Breakfast will include biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, ham, pancakes and French toast. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 6 to 12.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5315 will host a community food auction beginning at 2 p.m., every third Saturday of the month, at 2225 S M-37, Baldwin. Public is welcome. This is a great opportunity to stock up on some great deals! For more information call 231-745-2134.
