The Big Rapids Band of Locals will host a Labor Day Arts, Crafts and Food Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sept. 4 in downtown Big Rapids. For more information or vendor registration visit bandoflocals.org.
Betten Baker will host its 2nd annual Show It and Stow It Car Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sept. 9 at the Betten Baker GM Dealership, 14120 Northland Dr., Big Rapids. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Cost is $15 per vehicle. Judging begins at noon. The event will include a silent auction, 50/50 raffle and corn hole tournament. Cost for tournament is $20 per person or $40 per team. Games start at 10 a.m. Proceeds will serve local charities.
Jokers M/C Evart will host a Toys for Tots Fun Run on Sept. 16. Registration is from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Kickstands up at noon. Like a poker run, but at each stop you will play a game, throw a dart, shoot a ball, etc. Cost is $15 per player. Winner wins 25% of proceeds. Remaining proceeds will benefit Toys for Tots serving Osceola and Lake counties.
Mommy’s High on Life will host “A Walk to Remember, Hand in Hand,” a suicide prevention month public walk, starting at 2 p.m., Sept. 16 at Pere Marquette Rail Trail in Evart.
Artworks of Big Rapids Intimate Theatre will present “Red Hot Patriot” at 7 p.m., Sept. 14, 15 and 16 and at 2:30 p.m., Sept. 17. Tickets are $15 and are available at The Painted Turtle Gift Shop, 106 N. Michigan Ave., Big Rapids.
Angels of Action is sponsoring a “Light up the Night Raffle” to support ongoing programs. Tickets are $10 and are available now at Century 21 White House Realty, Verified Title Agency in Canadian Lakes, Sweeny Holbeck Edison Insurance Agency, Royal View Assisted Living and at Angels of Action in Big Rapids. Drawing will be Nov. 3. No need to be present to win.
The Evart Farmers Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturdays through October 14 at the Depot, 200 S. Main St., Evart. For more information visit evartmainstreet.com/farmers-market.
Catholic Charities of West Michigan will host the St. Gianna Baby and Toddler Pantry from 3 to 5 p.m., at Evart United Methodist Church, 619 N. Cherry St., Evart on the following dates: Sept. 7; Oct.5; Nov. 2 and Dec. 7. They will be distributing cases of diapers, wipes and creams for low-income families with children 0-36 months of age.

The Free Methodist Church in Evart will host “Osceola Higher Ground,” a fun, free activity for the entire family, at 5:30 p.m., Thursdays, at 6151 95th Ave., Evart. Spring classes may include, but are not limited to, healthy lifestyles, crafts, family literacy, drug awareness, parenting and finance. Classes are offered for adults and student each week. The Crossroads Quilt Guild meets at 6:30 p.m., at the Church of the Nazarene, 5300 220th Ave., Reed City, on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Those interested are welcome to attend without being a member. Any level of quilter is encouraged to attend.
