The Mecosta Osceola Career Center will host a “Financial Aid Workshop” from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Nov. 7, at the Career Center Miller Wing, 15830 190th Ave., Big Rapids. Ferris State University director of financial aid, Melanie Mulder, will present important information for students and parents regarding FAFSA, scholarships, grants and loans.
Big Rapids High School will present the Broadway musical “Little Women” at 7 p.m., Nov. 7 & 8, and at 2 p.m., Nov. 9 at the Big Rapids High School, 21175 15 Mile Rd., Big Rapids. Tickets are $10 students, $15 adults and can be purchased online at brhsdrama.ludus.com/index.php, or at the door (cash only).

Michigan Works! West Central will host a “Neighbors Resources and Assistance Expo” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nov. 8 at 14330 Northland Dr., Big Rapids. Learn about programs and services available at local agencies.
The Mecosta County Genealogical Society will host a Veterans Tribute from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nov. 9, at 424 N. Fourth Ave., Big Rapids. Includes hands-on displays of military history. Veterans will be honored. Anyone interested in displaying their own military memorabilia may call 231-250-5555.
The Wheatland Music Organization will host a “Wheatscouts Learn to Clog” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nov. 9 at the Gladys Wernette Classroom building, 7251 50th Ave., Remus. Learn to make your own clogs, then learn to clog.

The Morley Community Center will host a blood drive from 12:15 to 7 p.m., Nov. 11 at 151 7th St., Morley. Appointments preferred. Call 866-642-5663 or visit versiti.org/mi to register. Walk-ins welcome as schedule allows.
Trinity Lutheran Church and School will host a Veterans Day Chapel starting at 8:30 a.m., Nov. 11, at 19778 US-10, Reed City. Refreshments will be served followed by a service at 9 a.m., which will honor the lives, the fight, and the service of local veterans. Everyone welcome.
The city of Big Rapids will host its annual Veterans Day Parade starting at 11 a.m., Nov. 11 on Michigan Avenue in downtown Big Rapids. A hot dog lunch will be provided by the Amvets Ladies Auxiliary at Amvets Post 1941, 320 4th Ave., Big Rapids.
Staff from Rep. John Moolenaar’s office will meet with constituents to discuss casework issues from 2 to 3 p.m., Nov. 13 at Evart City Hall in the Depot, 200 S. Main St., Evart. Anyone unable to attend the session may call 616-528-7100 for assistance.

Trinity Lutheran Church and School will host the annual Hunters Diner from 5 to 7 p.m., Nov. 14 at 19778 US-10, Reed City. Dinner includes chili, potato soup, cornbread and dessert. Play cards and swap stories. Everyone welcome. Cost is $6 for adults and kids 10 and up. Under 10 eat free.
The Reed City Fire Department will host a Community Car Seat Safety session from 4 to 6 p.m., Nov. 14 at 523 Morse St., Reed City. New car seats will be installed in your vehicle by a certified Passenger Safety Technician, while supplies last. Open to residents who meet income qualifications.
The Resident Council Evart Housing Commission will host a Holiday Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 16 at Centennial Arms Apartments, 601 W. 1st St., Evart.
The Morley American Legion Auxiliary will host a “Deer Widows Fall Bazaar and Craft Show” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 16, at 2560 Northland Dr., Morley, featuring food, fun, raffles and vendor booths. Antlers Fireside Grill will host its “Annual Holiday Craft Show” from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 16, at 10107 Buchannan Rd., Canadian Lakes, featuring a curated show and bazaar for handmade crafts and specialty products.
Felde Fun House will host a Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Nov. 16, at 2355 Northland Dr., Morley. Adult and kid vendors are welcome. Eight-foot booth sections are available for $15 – table and chairs included. To reserve a spot call 231-424-3883.
The Morley Community Center will host a “Greens Workshop” from 10 a.m. to noon, Nov. 16, at 151 E. 7th St., Morley. Make your own wreath or porch pot for $25. All materials will be provided. AmVets Post 1988 will host an Osceola-Lake Toys for Tots fundraiser with The Briar Payne Band performing from 7 to 9 p.m., Nov. 22, at 1959 W. 24th St., Baldwin. Admission is a new, unwrapped toy for a child ages newborn to 17 years of age.

Crossroads Recreation Connection will host a Fresh Pine Christmas Wreath Make and Take at 7 p.m., Nov. 22 and at 1 p.m., Nov. 23 at New Beginnings Fellowship Church, 139 W. Church Ave., Reed City. Cost is $30. Light refreshments included.
Trinity Lutheran Church and School will host its annual “Christmas Bazaar” from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nov. 23, at 19778 US-10, Reed City, featuring handcrafted items, decorations, baked goods and more. Lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include chili, chicken noodle soup, sloppy joes, salad and dessert @ $2 each. Enter a drawing to win a special item made by the Trinity family. The City of Big Rapids will host the annual “Parade of Lights” from 6 to 8 p.m., Nov. 23, in downtown Big Rapids. The free event will feature a parade, tree lighting, live reindeer, visit from Santa, Christmas stories, caroling and hot chocolate.
Reed City Area Ministerial Association hosts a Winter Coat and Outerwear Pantry from noon to 3 p.m., every Wednesday at the Reed City United Methodist Church, 503 S. Chestnut St., Reed City. Enter at the North door on Lincoln Street. Donations of clean, gently worn outerwear can be left at RCUMC from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The Reed City Senior Center at 219 E. Big Rapids Sunday Night Al-Anon meets from 7-8 p.m. every Sunday at The Old Jail, 220 S. Stewart Ave., Big Rapids. It is free to attend and is open to everyone.
