The 83rd annual Golden Globes take over the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Sunday night to celebrate the biggest movies and TV shows, not to mention all the A-list stars and artists who help make them happen.
Hosted for the second year in a row by comedian and actress Nikki Glaser, the 2026 ceremony airs live on CBS and streams on Paramount+.
Heading into Sunday’s awards show, “One Battle After Another” leads the film field with nine nominations, including best motion picture, musical or comedy, with director/writer Paul Thomas Anderson, as well as stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Chase Infiniti, Benicio del Toro, and Teyana Taylor also all nominated. “The White Lotus” leads the television nominations with six, including best television series, drama, as well as nods for cast members Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, and Aimee Lou Wood.

New for the 2026 festivities, the Golden Globes introduces a best podcast category, with Burlington native Amy Poehler nominated for hosting “Good Hang,” while Boston University alum Alex Cooper is up for her popular “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard,” “Smartless,” “The Mel Robbins Podcast,” and “Up First” are also nominated.

Other nominees with New England ties this year include Dorchester native Ayo Edebiri, up for her work on “The Bear”; New Hampshire’s Adam Sandler, nominated for his role in Netflix’s “Jay Kelly”; plus the Ipswich-filmed “Sorry, Baby,” with director-writer-star Eva Victor nominated for best actress in a motion picture, drama.
The Golden Globes previously honored Helen Mirren with the Cecil B. DeMille Award and Sarah Jessica Parker with the Carol Burnett Award during the recently aired “Golden Eve” prime-time special.
