LOS ANGELES, CA — The powerful Santa Ana windstorm knocked a tree down onto the Hollywood (170) Freeway in the North Hollywood area Monday, backing up traffic heading out of Hollywood and north in the San Fernando Valley.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for an unknown amount of time shortly before 11:30 a.m. The tree is blocking the number four lane on the northbound side of the freeway at Magnolia Boulevard, according to the CHP.
Crews are working to clear the lane. Commuters are advised to expect delays.
