COLUMBIA, S.C. — The 2025 Arnold Palmer Cup will tee off June 6-8 at the Congaree Golf Club in Ridgeland, and current South Carolina head women’s golf coach Kalen Anderson will serve as co-head coach for Team USA.
She will be working with Auburn’s head men’s golf coach, Nick Clinard, in this event, which was co-founded by the late seven-time major winner and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and began in 1997 at the Palmer-owned Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando. The Palmer Cup is a Ryder Cup-style tournament featuring the top men’s and women’s university/college golfers matching the United States against a team of International players.
The Palmer Cup has been played at some of the world’s greatest courses, including The Old Course at St. Andrews, The Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, Baltusrol, The Honors Course, and Cherry Hills. Beginning with the 2018 matches at the Evian Resort Golf Club, the Palmer Cup is the only major tournament that features men and women playing side-by-side as partners.
Anderson is the first coach in Gamecock golf history to be named head coach for either side in the event.
Under her guidance, South Carolina has had six Arnold Palmer Cup selections, most recently highlighted by the senior All-American duo of Hannah Darling (Scotland) and Louise Rydqvist (Sweden) for Team International last summer in Ireland.
