SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — SSGA’s mission is to pursue economic prosperity and growth for Sangamon County and the City of Springfield. The Old Capitol Art Fair and Pridefest in Springfield, Illinois happening May 18 weekend is one way they achieve that mission.
Pridefest on May 18 in Downtown Springfield will have over 100 vendors, entertainment, a drag show, food and drinks, a fun-filled family area, youth and teen talent shows, pride merchandise.
The same weekend on May 18 and May 19, at the Illinois Old State Capitol building, art lovers can find the Springfield Old Capitol Art Fair to be the jewel of the Midwest.
This tradition of fine art has brought artists and shoppers from across the country flocking to downtown Springfield’s two-day outdoor art gallery for over 50 years.
The Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance is helping create and market a financially sound community; able to attract new businesses and skilled talent, while retaining the profitable companies and local workforce who already make Sangamon County their home. SSGA encourages people to go check out the fun events happening the weekend of May 18.
