Chicago Street Theatre starts its 69th season with Ken Ludwig’s stage adaptation of Agatha Christie’s classic mystery set in the year 1934 as the elegant Orient Express departs Istanbul with a curious band of travelers that includes an exiled Russian princess, a Hungarian countess, a colonel, a governess, and a shrewd American tycoon who is found stabbed to death the next morning in his compartment.

With the awards ceremony held 1-3 p.m. Oct. 15, there is $13,000 in cash prizes awarded this year ranking as most monetary artistic accolades in South Shore Arts’ long history for this annual exhibit showcasing varied mediums and works.
