The NBA announced the players who will take part in the 2026 Slam Dunk Contest, where the quest for a rare four-peat has concluded.
G League star Mac McClung, who has won three straight contests since 2023, is not part of the player pool in Hollywood. There will be an entirely new set of players this year.

When is the 2026 NBA Slam Dunk Contest?
The contest is set for Saturday, Feb. 14 at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT. It is the third event of the night in Inglewood, Calif.
Who is participating in the 2026 NBA Slam Dunk Contest?
Here’s the four-player field announced by the NBA:
Jaxson Hayes, C, Los Angeles Lakers
Keshad Johnson, F, Miami Heat
Jase Richardson, G, Orlando Magic
Carter Bryant, F, San Antonio Spurs
Hayes, 7-feet tall, is a seventh-year center who’s in his third season with the Lakers and has been known for his lanky athleticism. Bryant, a 6-foot-6 wing, was drafted No. 14 overall by the Spurs in 2025, while Richardson, 6-foot-1, followed at No. 25 to Orlando. He is the son of former NBA high-flyer Jason Richardson.
Jason Richardson is also a former Slam Dunk champion, winning twice (2002, 2003). Johnson, 6-foot-6, is in his second season, both with Miami.
Who is the reigning NBA Slam Dunk Contest winner?
Mac McClung is the reigning winner, claiming three straight contests as a G League player since 2023. He was not brought back, however, and all four 2026 participants are making their debuts in the event.
