In a new Instagram post on Saturday, Jan. 24, the country hitmaker shared a photo alongside none other than Randy Travis, whom he referred to as “country music royalty.”

The joyful new picture showed Brown, 47, and Travis, 66, appearing to have a great time together as they both sported huge smiles while posing in front of a photo backdrop.
It’s not clear when exactly the photo was taken, but Brown said it is “always” an honor when he gets to catch up with Travis.
“Country music royalty,” the “Chicken Fried” crooner captioned his post on Saturday, while crediting Travis with making “Songs that shaped generations.”
“An honor, always,” Brown added. “Love this guy.”
Several of Brown’s fans were delighted to see the post with the country music legend, who is responsible for timeless tracks like “Deeper Than the Holler,” “Three Wooden Crosses,” “On the Other Hand” and more.
“Randy is an icon! ❤️” one user gushed in the Instagram comments. Another person added, “Two great artists.”
“Good to see he’s doing well,” another fan wrote of Travis, who has been battling a number of health issues since suffering a near-fatal stroke in 2013. He was subsequently diagnosed with aphasia, which has significantly affected his ability to speak and sing.
Travis previously worked on music with Brown and his band in 2011 as part of Travis’ Anniversary Celebration duets album, which included a new spin on his hit song “Forever and Ever, Amen,” featuring Zac Brown Band.
