Hoppers opened in theaters on March 6, 2026, after an extensive marketing campaign that included everything from a Super Bowl spot to a Yogurtland flavor. The original story centers on Mabel, a teenage environmental activist who “hops” her consciousness into a robotic beaver to try to stop an industrial development.
In its first weekend, the movie earned $46 million at the US box office as well as $88 million globally. That not only means Hoppers premiered at #1, but also earned the best opening for a Pixar original film — as well as an original animated movie in general — since Coco (2017).
