EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – For those that won’t be able to stay up until 12 tonight, there were events happening here in Eau Claire for a “Noon-Year’s” celebration.
Balloons dropped from the ceiling of the L.E. Phillips Library as the clock struck noon today.
There were crafts, dancing, snacks and plenty more for families to do.
The Children’s Museum of Eau Claire also held two events of their own this morning and this afternoon.
Organizers for both events say it’s a great way to get the whole family into the fun.
“Yeah, the kids love it, right? When it started at 10:30, there were tons of people coming through the door, just excited and running into their different activities,” said Kelly Kneisl, the Youth Services manager at the L.E. Philips Library.
“This is a really exciting, busy day for us. Families are excited to come in and celebrate the end of the year and look ahead for 2025,” said Mike Lee, the CEO at the Children’s Museum of Eau Claire.
This is the first year that the library has brought back its Noon Year Celebration since COVID in 2020.
The Children’s Museum said they had to break up their event into two different time slots after getting over 800 kids last year.
