Jude Hill struck gold.
The Richwoods freshman finished first in four athletes-with-disabilities events at the 2026 IHSA boys swimming and diving state finals Saturday at the FMC Natatorium in Westmont. He made a clean sweep in the 200-yard freestyle, 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard breaststroke.
Hill and Paxton Dickson also teamed up to give Richwoods a third-place state finish in the combined team standings.
Metamora junior Kenan Nowak took 11th in the diving finals. His score of 439.75 was less than two points off a top-10 finish. Nowak advanced by finishing 11th (326.53 points) in the diving semifinals. He had a 10th-place finish in the prelims at 221.25.
The Peoria-area sent five relays, six individual swimmers and one diver in 10 events that had qualified for state from the sectional level.
