“I can’t wait to join friends and family in bringing this celebration to the fans we love,” Nelson said in a Monday press release.

Last June, the Outlaw Music Festival tour began without the 91-year-old Texas singer. He was not feeling well, according to a social media statement posted at the time. Per doctors’ orders, Nelson rested for a few days before returning to the road. Previous health problems, namely respiratory issues, had also led him to cancel or postpone shows.

The festival launched in Scranton, Pa. in 2016 and has featured artists including Luke Combs, Van Morrison, Chris Stapleton and Brandi Carlile.
Its name takes inspiration from the outlaw movement, a musical rebellion in the 1970s led by Nelson, Waylon Jennings and others against the stronghold that Nashville had on the dominant country scene.
